Winter is my favorite season, but definitely not my skin’s. I have dry and sensitive skin, and wanted to share my essentials for getting through this season’s cold weather! I think these products are amazing for all skin types because we can all use a little more moisture and hydration! Here is a quick rundown of the hero products I’ll be talking about:

Hanskin essence - $25 (5 oz)

Tatcha The Dewy Cream - $68 (1 oz)

Ren Gentle Cleansing Gel = $32 (5 oz)

Youth to the People Dream Eye Cream - $48 (0.5 oz)

Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream - $65 (1.7 oz)

Holifrog Galilee Dewy Drop - $52 (1 oz)

Laneige Cream Skin Toner - $33 (5 oz)

Starting off with a bang, the Tatcha Dewy Cream needs no introduction on my page. It’s my favorite moisturizer EVER and probably will be for eternity 🥰 It’s rich and creamy and exactly what its name says it is. The dewy cream is a dream for dry and sensitive skin — and my routine’s best friend year round!

The Hanskin essence is simple and no fuss… something I look for in my routine more often than I expect. I like to use Vitamin C and BHAs/AHAs in other products, so I like to keep essence the product in my regimen that has no frills and is simply hydrating. I can count on knowing how my skin will react with this essence every time and it always freshens it up in a calming and cooling way.

The Holifrog Dewy Drop is a newer product that got launched this year, but one that quickly climbed my skincare hierarchy. I haven’t come across a formula quite like this one, in that it’s thick and creamy like a moisturizer, but glides on smoothly like a serum. My skin feels so good after I put this on and I can’t live without it in my routine! This product is marketed as a serum/moisturizer hybrid, but I still like to go in with my usual moisturizer after applying it.

The Kate Somerville goat milk cream is a new favorite that I use both in the day and night. It has a light whipped texture that feels very soothing on the face and is perfect for chapped skin. I usually go for a much thicker cream, but this one provides the moisture of a thick cream without the heavier feeling of one. My skin drinks it up, but I’m still able to feel the moisture minutes after it sinks in.

Youth to the People is one of my all time favorite brands, so it was no shocker when I fell in love with their Dream Eye Cream too! I love their goji berry oil and this eye cream is very reminiscent of that oil in the way it smells, moisturizes, and feels. Even though the textures are different, they supply equally long lasting moisture.

The Laneige Cream Skin Toner is a product I raved about plenty before, and is still something I use frequently in my routine. Especially when my skin is acting up and super dry, this toner adds an extra barrier of moisture that is desperately needed. For the price point, I think this toner is a great option as it’s a two in one! I would highly recommend it for all skin types except oily skin -- it might be a tad too dewy for oily types, but if you live for the dewy life, I say go for this one too!

Finally, it’s time to swap out your bubbly cleansers for a softer gel or cream cleanser. The skin’s moisture barrier is already damaged as it is from the weather and environment, and it doesn’t need a cleanser to strip more moisture from it. This Ren cleanser is a gel consistency, but it is so gentle, I bet even a baby could use it! It’s a mild cleanser that hydrates the skin but still does a good job at removing dirt and oil. A must for this season!
