Allies Serums

A highly anticipated review of the new*ish* Allies of Skin serums. They kindly sent me their Triple Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration serum and Mandelic Pigmentation Corrector night serum. Allies of Skin is a pretty new brand that just destroyed the skincare game from the get go! Needless to say I was so excited to try these serums out.

A few details:

Triple hyaluronic antioxidant hydration serum - $75 for 30 ml

Mandelic pigmentation corrector night serum - $92 for 30 ml

Hyaluronic Hydration Serum - I’ve been testing the hyaluronic serum for about three and a half weeks now. When I really started to use it consistently at night, I noticed such big differences in the overall complexion and brightness of my skin. This could have been a result from a mixture of skincare, but I think my super clear skin was more than just a coincidence. This serum is a simple yet powerful product to target hydration and plumping (not the tingling sensation kind though). Every morning I wake up with visibly brighter and smoother skin. I couldn’t believe it at first!

I use about half a pump each night and remember, following up with moisturizer after serums is a must! It has a thin consistency and a slight warm tint to it. I love the effects of this serum but the scent throws me off. Imagine walking into a new house that’s just been put on the market and walking up the wooden staircase. That’s exactly what this serum smells like. I’m not sure how I feel about smelling wood/fresh paint every time I put my serum on, but I can’t deny that the product itself is 100% good stuff.

Mandelic pigmentation corrector night serum - I have keratosis pilaris on my lower cheeks, which means I often deal with a little more redness than the usual gal. I’ve tried so many pigmentation correctors and while none have wowed me, I’ve learned that seeing visible results from these types of products takes a long time. I probably would have to exclusively use this serum in isolation of other skincare products for a solid month or two for it to reach its full potential, but because of how much skincare I test, I usually don’t stick to the same product for this long! With that being said, I do believe that this formula is very high quality and one worth checking out if pigmentation (lots of redness or severe acne scars) is one of your top skin priorities. For me, I’m lucky enough to not frequently develop acne and as for my redness, I’m not too concerned about getting rid of it.

So the big question is, are these worth it? These serums are definitely not something to buy on a whim, but I personally would choose the hyaluronic serum to try if you just can’t wait to try something from the Allies of Skin line! I’m loving how my skin is looking and despite the smell, I’ll be continuing to use it for the coming weeks!

Their products are all packed with extremely high potencies, so compared to other brands, you can be sure you’ll be getting a bang for your buck. I was really impressed with a recent post from Allies of Skin, in which they talked about transparency of prices and ingredients. I think if you’re iffy about purchasing, definitely head over to their IG page and read their little blurb first. I hope that covers most of your questions about these two gems, and if you want more info, don’t hesitate to hit me up on IG!
